THE CHALLENGE TO CHANGE
“Today many people talk about the crisis. But the crisis is not the real problem. The real problem is the fear of change, especially when we have no other option”.

During the Second World War when resources were scarce and there was a big demand for goods, the organizations were forced to change the way they operated. They improved production methods and as a result productivity increased significantly. This example illustrates how in a complex and difficult environment ideas generate benefits for all.
Human capacity is tested during critical moments. The human being is capable of doing things which normally are impossible: lifting heavy weights, running great distances, endure pain, all in order to survive.
Now we have to become creative, whether the crisis took us by surprise or not, we must generate creative ideas to survive in this new equilibrium. There is certainly a better way of doing things, we are facing the great opportunity of finding that different way, the market continues to have needs that we must seize the moment.
Thus, the crisis must be faced with Leadership, Sensitivity and Creativity.
We must use leadership to know ourselves, our strengths and weaknesses. We must encourage effective communication with our human resources and generate from within, the necessary changes both efficiently and effectively.
Now more than ever we must be sensitive to our environment, the needs are there, but they are different, or at least, they cannot be satisfied in the same manner, The success to face change is measured by the way we administer the information and turn our environment in opportunities.
Creativity must make a difference to make our plans come true, presenting the market with a proposal with a different value according to reality.
The crisis as such, is an invitation to change, we do not deny that we feel uncomfortable with change, but if we are proactive and if in the future we ourselves encourage the change, we certainly will be increasing our probability of success.
